Birth Tub Rentals
Deep immersion during active labor causes a hormone to be released from the mother's pituitary which increases her available oxytocin. The deeper the pool, the more water is pressing on the extremities. The more water pressing, the faster the oxytocin reaction.
There is an art and science to waterbirth. Depth allows for complete position changes. Depth gives the woman the ability to be completely sensitive to the movements of her baby inside of her and respond with innate movements of her hips and legs. Here are a couple of local women who rent birth tubs:
- Jenny Black (512) 203-6416 or madrona@texas.net

- Conscious Birthing
www.consciousbirthingaustin.comWe believe that birth is a normal process - that mothers and babies have the inherent ability to give birth and be born. Under normal circumstances, birth can unfold with very little intervention but requires lots of support and respectful care. Our 12 years of combined experience as doulas in a variety of birth settings has shown us that others already have what they need to give birth. We wish to share the insight we've gained from helping birth unfold in a variety of settings - home, birth center, and hospital - with no intervention and with lots of intervention.
- HypnoBirthing of Central Texas
www.hypnobirthingtexas.comHypnoBirthing® - The Mongan Method, is the original and unique method of relaxed, natural childbirth education, enhanced by hypnosis techniques, providing the missing link, that allows women to use their natural instincts to bring about a safer, easier, more comfortable birthing in a way that most mirrors nature. Emphasis is placed on both pregnancy and childbirth as well as on HypnoBirthing®.

This semi-private class is designed for expecting parents, recently new parents, or anyone who has kids and wants to know more about dogs and how they see children. First and foremost you will learn how to introduce your dog to your new baby and your baby to your dog. Then we will focus on socialization, sharing, value systems, and rewards in order to reshape and reestablish your pack with the baby as the newest member. You will also learn about the different ways a dog sees a child from infancy up to teenage-hood and how this explains behavior issues that may arise. This is a single-session class designed for the humans in the family (your dog should stay at home). Please call to sign up!
