Breastfeeding Support
Early education and support are the keys to a successful breastfeeding relationship. We are here to help you.

The Mothering Way is here to answer many of your questions and concerns about breastfeeding. We understand what you need to know because we have helped moms like you for many years. We know that early education and support are the keys to a successful breastfeeding relationship, and to that end we offer breastfeeding classes before birth, and breastfeeding support after birth. We want to help you succeed.
Breastfeeding Classes Before Birth
We offer a comprehensive 3 hour breastfeeding class on the Benefits of, the How to, and Basics of successful early breastfeeding.
Private and small group classes are offered on an as needed basis. Please contact us if you are interested. Ryka George teaches The Mothering Way Breastfeeding Classes. She has helped mothers and babies with breastfeeding concerns since 1992. She is recognized by The Texas Department of Health as a Trained Breastfeeding Educator. Her classes are both interactive and lecture style.

I got nursing information from many sources but you were one of my first and most efficient sources of information, therefore I think about you often ... THANK YOU!
— Melissa, a first time mom with Baby Zachary Isaac
Breastfeeding Support After Birth
The Mothering Way also provides in-home lactation support. We offer either a breastfeeding consult in your home or support through our postpartum care services. Many mothers prefer the services of a postpartum doula because breastfeeding problems and challenges resolve better over time.
The following is a testimonial from a mother who experienced some breastfeeding challenges and chose to use a Postpartum Doula from The Mothering Way.

"Our Doula really helped me to get through a difficult time I had with breastfeeding. . . I probably would have given up if it hadn't been for our Doula’s support and knowledge. The Mothering Way is highly recommended by this mommy."
— Mariah, a first time mom
